Nickisms

Nick randomly talks in his sleep and I love when I’m awake to hear it.

“Don’t worry, they are outside. They are outside and they have old cash registers.”

“Get the room service orders and bring them to the front. No, there are seven and you need to take them upstairs to the Langford’s house.”

Me: Can I have a kiss goodnight?”

Nick: (already sleeping) you have to quit everything to get a kiss from yourself.”

“Us two being quiet is not a good thing”

There are more but unless I write them down or I am not already sleepy, I forget them. Now these ones are from when Nick was investigating the church and new to the church. I love my husband!!!

 

First off, we toured the Draper Temple and kept hearing about the ‘ceiling’ rooms we were going to see. He was so curious and thought we would sit in big recliners and stare that this oh so amazing ‘ceiling’. It took me awhile to figure out I needed to explain it was sealing as in wedding.

Before people knew he was an investigator, he would get asked if he was endowed. He thought that everyone was asking if he was like... well-endowed and he wasn’t sure how to answer. Oh the lingo.

Lastly, when Nick got his first calling, he told me I had to be nice to him because he had just been ‘separated’ (set-apart).

For those who don't know, we have specail terms we use in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being endowed for example means having gone to the temple and taken on the covenants made inside.
