We have started a new thing at our house. It started a few months ago when a friend of mine picked up a blueberry cheese made from goat’s milk at Sam’s while we were shopping and was wondering what it would taste like. She was worried about buying it because she didn’t know if her family would really like it, so I offered to buy it and bring some over at our next dinner together. It was so good. It made me feel very sophisticated eating it after dinner.
Well, since that cheese worked out so well, Nick and I decided that we should keep branching out and trying more cheese, which is why it made it onto our 101 in 1001 list. So every few weeks we pick out something new. It’s kind of like being a part of the Cheese of the Month club but without having to pay a lot of money. Maybe someday, right Emily? :)
Up most recently was another blueberry cheese, a Wensleydale with blueberry. A different consistency and made with regular cow's milk. Very sweet and makes a great appetizer or dessert. I felt so fancy when I got it out for our guest.
| It tastes a lot better than it looks in this picture. Sorry my skills aren't that great. |
Our next one is a Bruschetta Jack.
