The start . . . I only had one magazine
I saw this once when I was blog stocking. You simply cut out photos from magazines that jump out at you and then put them on a board. Leave them there for a few days, study them, and decide if you still like the picture. If not pull that one down and/or replace it (I always have a stack of new photos to pin up). It has been so helpful in deciding what my style is. It has helped me not waste any more money on house items that I won’t like in a week. For example, before I started this project I thought that I would like red in my house and would bring out that color in our area rug. Well, I bought some items in January and by February I wasn’t loving them as much anymore. Cue design board. I have never once picked a photo with red accents in it.
Got a bit crazy for a bit
Also, when I was buying a shower curtain for the guest bathroom I could decide between a red, white, and blue one or a brown and white elegant print. I kept going back and forth. Then I thought back to my design board and realized I would never pick the red, white, and blue one based on that board. Now that the bathroom is completed I am very thankful I went with the white and brown.
I ended up getting rid of many of these after awhile
I have learned from the board that I love lots of natural light so in our future home we will need many windows. I also love the contrast between white and dark brown. In addition, my main color choices are pale blue, green, and yellow. And I love very organized look (but I already knew that one).
