Ladybug at Four Months

Our little Ladybug,

 

Oh, how you are growing so fast. The other day when I picked you up, you felt so big in my arms. You are becoming more of a baby and less of a newborn every day. This month was a big month for you. It started with a trip to Houston with mommy over the 4^th of July for your cousin T-Rex’s baptism. You did perfect on all your plane rides and loved facing forward in mommy’s shoulder carrier so you could see everything in the airport. Your cousin Goose loved getting to hold you. You also finally met your GG. You also went on another road trip to Ohio for Daddy’s cousin’s wedding. You met all of your dad’s side of the family (as did mom). Ladybug at the right bold age of four months you have seen eight states!

You found your feet this month and every chance you get you grab them rolling up into a ball. Mommy understands the yoga pose ‘Happy Baby’ now. You also love to get your toes into your mouth. You love to blow bubbles/spit and make long sounds with your voice. Just recently you started standing on your legs and be pulled from laying to sitting to standing by your hands (which you like to do). Mommy and you love to go out for errands because it means new sights and sounds and you love that everyone wants to ooohh and ahh over you, in which you show them your delight with a smile every time. You have the best smile.

You have also started to smile at Bailey and reach out to her. You have managed to pet her a few times and grab her fur, collar, and skin. Bailey still doesn’t love you (sorry) and usually ties to escape when you are near unless mom promises a treat for letting you pet her. She knows to be gentle with you and doesn’t react when you get her fur.
